{"id":4013,"date":"2023-03-31T14:16:09","date_gmt":"2023-03-31T12:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aubertm.me\/?p=4013"},"modified":"2023-03-31T14:16:09","modified_gmt":"2023-03-31T12:16:09","slug":"ai-week-belgium-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aubertm.me\/index.php\/2023\/03\/31\/ai-week-belgium-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"AI Week Belgium 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>While I am working on my Master Thesis on KPIs against biases in a Machine Learning process, I attended the AI week in Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It was nice to enjoy innovation and discoveries again, it felt like when we were expanding the web at the beginning of the 2000ies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are my takeaways of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AI norms and laws are being created<\/strong>, and EU citizens are welcome to take part in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>WG<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal chatbot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We don\u2019t know how to counterpart AI biases<\/strong>, besides educating citizens to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fari.brussels\/ai-academy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fari Academy<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/openclassrooms.com\/fr\/courses\/6417031-objectif-ia-initiez-vous-a-lintelligence-artificielle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Destination AI on Openclassroom<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI4Belgium&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/altai.ai4belgium.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Assessment tool<\/a><br \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab <strong><em>Citizens need public institutions to get in. \u00bb<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This was said, but no evidence was ever given. Worse: AI bad answers would be covered up by \u00ab disclaimers \u00bb. This is not morally acceptable. This is consultant BS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study on AI accessibillity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI is interesting only in a high data quality framework.
